India, Rupee to identify

4 сообщений
Hi,
This one has two extra-deep chop marks.
Yearlooks like AH112x but could also be AH113x or even AH114x
Size: 24mm
Weight: 11.10gr
Ma collection de Révolutionnaires - My coins from the French Revolution
I have a very similar rupee, also with a lot of similar punch marks.
The deep punch marks were made to check if the coin is solid silver.
Mine is Arkat mint AH1134
The mint is at the bottom of the left picture

Can explain better how to find date for this type of coins please?
Do you mean your coin or 'indian rupees'
On your coin, the date is on the right picture at 3 o'clock
The regnal year is under the right deep punch mark.
The placement of the date on indian rupees is not fixed. It can be found all over the coins, depending on the ruler, year, regnal year, mintplace....
