10 pesos ($10) 2007 with silver center [решено]

I have a coin that seems to have silver center.
It is non magnetic and if I move an Neodym fast over it, the coin moves on the table.
It is really silver?

Weight: ~10,42g, Diameter ~27,5mm, reeded edge.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi,

no, it's not silver. Just cu-ni! Ni by itself is magnetic, in cu-ni alloy it might be depending on the amount in the blend.

Many thanks for your response. After a long search I found that brass behaves like silver, copper and zinc are diamagnetic like silver. Copper requires 0.9 percent nickel to neutralize this diamagnetic effect and 56 percent nickel is required before the alloy shows ferromagnetic properties at ordinary temperatures.
Now I know that not all metals can be tested with my method.
