Probably Counterfeit? Just want to verify it's a fake [решено]

I picked up this spanish cob (thankfully for cheap, since I'm guessing it's a fake) in a market booth at Pisac, Peru. I also found a 1920's silver dollar (of the 50% silver variety) from another booth, but it vanished from my luggage before I got home, yay for ?

Some guy tried to sell me a 1800's 90% silver Sol but for a ridiculous amount, he could tell I was interested in coins cause I'd been glancing at some on nearby booths, took me 10 minutes of shooing him away before he left me alone. Quite an interesting/annoying market. Anyway, my question is, even though I'm thinking it's highly likely counterfeit, any chance this is real? If not, I somehow managed to find a fake coin in a random marketplace in one of the counterfeit capitals of the world. I guess if it is a fake, that makes it a "realistic" souvenir?

It imitates a 8 reales cob minted in 1686 : details are more crude than the original and it should weight 27g.
At least you can keep it as a souvenir of this market :p

It's not the first time I hear about stollen coins from the luggage at the airport... I guess we should always keep valuable things with us when we take a plane.
Last time I travelled from Australia to France with about 300 coins in a shoulder bag : I had to open it at the security checkpoints of Bangkok and Dubai and justify that the amount doesn't exceed a certain sum to clarify the situation, but that's it

hmm, I guess the weight is a good indication. Fake it is for sure! Well, At least I didn't go to Peru without coming home with at least one counterfeit.

And look at it this way: I let some underpaid Peruvian baggage handler's family able to feed their kids better for a week.

Its a fake but see if its listed on Sedwick's site under his fake list.
