I have had this 1935 Rupee for quite a while now and have always been skeptic of its authenticity. It is a tad underweight for the coin (it is about 11.31 grams) (The weight of a certified coin is 11.66 grams), but all other aspects of it are correct. It has also passed the silver tests.
I have asked this question on this forum before, but still feel a little skeptical, and am considering buying a certified one, but wanted to check one last time before I spend the money.
Thank You all,
And appologies for the repetition of this question...
It's honestly a very fine balance for me about the authenticity of this coin... on one hand everything 'looks' right, but then again, the details on the letters look a little bit too rounded... but then again again, details on this type can be like that especially when worn.
I agree, I think that I will purchase a certified one because this is one of my most beloved coins in my collection.
Hopefully it is real, but it doesn't hurt to have a certified backup.
