I would call the script "Fantasy Arabic". This is quite common on such tokens. Someone somewhere, who doesn't know Arabic, cut the dies from a coin or medal by reproducing the script without understanding it. We had several examples of that in the past few weeks.

So basically this coin is fake.

I don't think it was struck to deceive, so it's not fake in that sense. It's possibly some tourist souvenir. Or else it could have been part of an ornament, but this is less likely since you would expect it to be holed (such as "belly-dancer tokens").

But yes: it is made to look like a coin, but it isn't one, so it's fake in that sense.
