20 mm diameter, looks like it says BEL on the side without the cross.

For me, it's a French denier of Hugh Capet, minted at Beauvais : we can see the carolingian monogram on the reverse side (KAROLVS : K on the left, R at the top, L at the bottom, S on the left and A, O, U in ligature at the center) with a legend who seems to be"BELV[ACVS CIVIT]AS (city of Beauvais).
In this case, the observe is probably [HERVEVS H]VGO R[EX].

Regarding the past auctions, I would say between 120 and 250 USD in France in that condition, however I'm not sure about the US, the price could be higher I guess.

Hugh Capet was the first king of the Capetian dynasty, so this coin has a high history value in France and is not easy to find
