German 10 Pfennig 1915 , No Mint mark

Hi,

I have a Germany 1871-1948 10 Pfennig dated 1915, but there are no mint marks where they should normally be.

I have looked in Krause and on here and I couldn't see a coin missing the MM. Which mint were these produced in, and should the catalogue be updated to include/reference a coin with a missing MM?

Thanks
Stewart
Photographs would be a great help. Need close up of the obverse, so the details where the mint mark should be can be clearly seen.
This is an enigma as, like you stated, all other coins have mint marks. Could they have possible been removed, deliberately? Is it a fake? Is it a new variant?
Only photographs will help us
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

sorry, couldn't work out how to rotate them, but you can see there is nothing to see re the MM and it doesn't look like it was removed. So any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Stewart
with some contrast adjustment you can see that the coin has been tampered with

Ok, thanks. what is the purpose of doing that, it's not a valuable coin and was sold as part of a cheap job lot?

I have no idea why someone would do this.
It is indeed not really valuable.
Perhaps to make it look rare?
Of course I can be wrong about my opinion.
