Separate section for Error coins

Hi

There has been written a lot over error coins, but none of those posts seems to point out to setting up a separate new section for error and fake coins each coin page. I would find it more practical as for each error type and fake coins there would be separate windows to input quantities and obligatory picture for each error type or fake coins for easier explanation. Right now, there are some error types added as extra to mintage years, but this does not feel right.

I just went thru this page https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces93.html. Here a whole lot of error, but no windows for input. Other pages have windows but no pictures.

Maybe one for future upgrade.

This may clog the intent of the examples section, as this section is meant (very likely) only for fairly correct pieces. Just imagine the types and numbers of errors on US 1 cent coins. If so, error coins should at least be separated from those without.

 

It could also be nice to have extra field to mark error coins here:

PS: Somehow I do not understand how these matters in Numismatics are not adequately incorporated yet at least superficially here on Numista.

I collect errors myself, mostly Lincoln Cent errors. But hopefully you are not wanting this error section to include brockages, cuds, offstrikes or lamentation errors.

The examples section was also intended for errors, but you want something with more detail…

 

Maybe… now an example record has a checkbox “Fake/counterfeit item” to submit fakes. A new checkbox “Error” could be added to have a list of objects with error.
