First post and I am not really a Collector by any means. I bought this off a farmer in Aksum (Axum) in Northern Ethiopia in 2007 and it's been stored away since, he said he found it while ploughing his field. I have no idea of what it is or how much it might be worth, assistance appreciated!
Hello and welcome on numista !
Are the pictures in mirror or is this coin exactly like that with the busts looking to the left ? Could we have its weight and diameter too ?
Regarding the legends, it's a coin of the Aksum king Ouazebas but everything is inverted on your pictures ; it's kinda weird.
This copper coin was plated in gold.
The price depends where you live, but it's usually sold at around 100 USD online.
Sorry, finally got a chance to get back to this. Yes I have confirmed my suspicions...when I took the shot with the iphone it came out upside down so when I put it through Mac "preview" to crop the shots I also flipped them which means they ended up back to front or "mirrored" from the real coin.
I have no way of weighing or accurately giving a diameter as it is not actually round but as you guys are experts you may be able to work out from this: It is almost exactly the same diameter as an old Australian 1c piece, and is slightly less than half the thickness.

Glad to see you made it on here. I told you that there would be some people on here that could help you out. It's good to know that the image was just distorted and the image is actually facing the right way.
