Looks like this coin

But mine has 88 where the date should be.

Looks like it is silver. 6.3g 29mm

The provenance would be interesting.
There are a lot of "pirate coins".
A good site to contact is this:

Non est totum quod splendet ut aurum
Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
It looks like a (16)88 sea salvage Bolivia 2 Reales KM# 24
Hi,

sorry but it's a fake, the weight does not match for 4 reales
Placez votre main sur un poêle une minute et ça vous semble durer une heure. Asseyez vous auprès d'une jolie fille une heure et ça vous semble durer une minute. C'est ça la relativité.

It's not a 4 reales, it is a 2 reales and .4 grams underweight is acceptable for a sea salvage coin due to saltwater erosion.

It would have to be a 4 reales struck on a 2 reales planchet. The coin says "4" in two places.

It is possible, but I would be wary. It is just too incidental that both 4s are visible.

Also check to see if any Spanish Colonial mint had an "L" assayer for 1688.

Now I am puzzled. It has the weight of the KM# 24 2 Reales. It has the markings (4) of the KM# 25 4 Reales.
Is it possible they used a 2 Reales coin and made it into a 4 Reales coin?
