Roman coin: Need details regarding time period and origin

9 сообщений
Hi everyone,
I need help in identifying this Roman coin, exact period and place of origin.
Thanks in advance.

1st Side: COL.ROM.PERM.DIVI AVG (C?)
2nd Side: ORBIS IVLIA AVGVSTA GENETRIX
Hi,
weight and diameter could help but this is rather a copy than a coin.
Original coin would be a sestertius for Augustus and Livia from Colonia Romula (Spain).

The diameter is 29 mm.
I can post about the weight tomorrow.

Edit:
the weight is 35 grams.
Thickness is 8 mm
I also found this on internet after some research: https://www.coinarchives.com/a/lotviewer.php?LotID=1204767&AucID=2394&Lot=2342&Val=6f19e8a03dd490a6afb2d4b2d1614ea3
The link you found is a genuine coin of this type with consistent weight between the common 22g-26g range; your coin is too heavy with 35 grams.

I keep my first opinion that your coin is a copy given general condition of the coin: design, lettering, rim presence, roundness, weight, etc. It looks somewhat similar to some sort of advertising token in the style of Reader's Digest token, BP collection token, etc.
