Take a look:

Ebay item number: 253807477996
This coin looks almost uncirculated, book on it would be about $1,300.00 (US). It is being sold for $44.00. I email the seller and he says it is genuine. Too good to be true?
His offerings are littered with fakes:

Can't say for sure but from the photos I see, it seems to have that bland sheen seen on white metal fakes of silver coins. Would not buy if I were you.

Ask for better pictures perhaps?

To be fair, a few of them do look alright.... but I'm still not going to be buying anything from this guy.

Someone ought to ask him whether or not an obviously fake item, like this one:

is real or fake; then we'll see if he's honest or not.
You are so correct. When looking at his other offers you can tell that he is selling reproductions )fakes!) at a fairly high, when compared to other fakers, price. My bad, after a close look at the offering I should have known. Should he be reported to Ebay?

I think so. He should write "Reproduction" in the description.

Oh yes, I know.

Note that even the slabbed coin is fake -- and the slab itself!

South Peru (Cuzco) 8 reales is one of the more realistic looking ones, but at that price, would say is a fake. As mentioned by others most all of them have the unrealistic look of fakes. Also always good to use extra caution with sellers from Russian federation, and some other areas of Eastern Europe, as i have seen a decent number selling fakes. (Saw several recently selling fake talers as real). And looking at his past feedback, more fake coins...
Which one is the South Peru (Cuzco) 8 reales?

It's interesting to see fake slabs, kind of like seeing knockoff versions of famous brands.
No offense to honest Russians here and honest Russian sellers on ebay, but Russia is a huge origin for fake coins on ebay, probably second to China at this point. I'm very suspicious of coins from Russia on ebay generally unless it's cheap items and stuff that's logically found there (like Russian or other eastern European coins).

I agree
But how to report that seller to ebay?

I just reported this item, which is unquestionably a replica.

It is not easy to find the "Report item" link. On the item's main page, it's on the right at the same height as the [Description] and [Shipping and payments] tabs. Once you click on the link, it's not easy either to know what category to click on in the first menu, but I did find it out. Here is what some of you should do as well with the other items that are clearly fakes:

If you do report one or more items, let us know! I'll do one more.

Edit: I just reported the fake slab as well.

Yes, reporting the items, no problem, but the seller himself?

I'm not sure you can report a seller, but if enough of us report his items, I think it will do the trick.

Just reported the fake commemorative half dollars.
I took some time to check each of his (hers) coin, and exept fot 2, I reported them all

I checked his coins, I think he is starting a new trend of counterfeit coins. He is probably being supplied by China.
