ancient greek coin with lyre

2 сообщений
Hello,
my coin looks similar too coins from Cyclades / Delos.
Maybe somebody is able to read the inscription...
Weight: 2.3g
Diameter: 15mm
On the reverse, there's the common formulation "(coin) of the people of City X". Unfortunately, I can only read for sure the letters below the lyre, which is the end of the single word needed to say all this:

...ΛΑΙΩΝ

in transcription this reads ...LAION. In the first part, one sees perhaps a Π or two smaller letters, then for sure a lambda (Λ) followed by a letter or two outside the rim.

Perhaps comparing with this Google search would get you somewhere?
