Yes, Delhi Sultanate is correct. Looking through Goron & Goenka there are several very similar coins that this might match. Perhaps the best fit by weight is a paika of Ala Al-Din Muhammad, 1296-1316 AD, coin number D235, 4.2-4.5 g.
Another possibility is a paika of 40 rati of Ghiyath Al-Din Balban, AD 1266-1287, coin D167, 4.3 g. There is a note that a very similar coin was made in the Madura Sultanate, coin MD16, a copper paisa of Ghiyath Al-Din Muhammad Damghan, AD 1340-1344, 4.3 g. Mu'izz Al-Din Qaiqubad has a very similar coin, D192, a paika of 4.2 g.
And I can't say with certainty that there aren't other similar coins.
Based on the weight of 4.55 g, I would tend to favor the first option.
The coin is in nice condition, GG says it's a relatively common type, personally I would estimate a value of about $3-5. You have a wonderful piece of history here - it's always exciting to think about people living at the time of the coin and how they probably spent it.

Non est totum quod splendet ut aurum
Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
