not sure what this is but has a bird on the reverse
Hello Thecabinetguy,

This is a follis of Licinius Ist, struck in the 2nd officina of Siscia
between the years 313 and 315. It is referenced as the RIC #8B.

Obverse:
Description: Laureate head right.
Lettering: IMP (-erator) LIC (-inianus) LICINIVS P (-ius) F (-elix) AVG (-ustus)
Translation: "The emperor Licinianus Licinius, pious, blessful, august".

Reverse:
Description: Jupiter standing left, holding a globe in right hand, with an eagle at his feet ; B in the right field, and SIS in exergue.
Lettering: IOVI CONSERVATORI
Translation: "To Jupiter Protector".

Best regards.
Licinius follis, IOVI CONSERVATORI type, Siscia.
Check wildwinds for the variants: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/licinius_I/t.html
Yours is the variant RIC VII #8B.

It was easy to find at wildwinds as the coin felt familiar (I got another type of Licinius follis last week)

Edit: Quiquengrogne was faster, he posted his answer while I was elaborating mine.
