Silesia Ferdinand ?

5 сообщений
Partially because most of the date is off the flan, I have been unable to attribute this 3 kreuzers. Can anyone assist?

The coin is 18mm and weighs 0.7 gram. There is a 2 at the top of the reverse, which appears to be the end of the date.

The obverse legend appears to begin FER.D.G...
The reverse legend begins MO.NO.AR (3) GE.SILES

Maybe. The reverse is similar to that type.

The description of the obverse is that it is an orb; this is a portrait.
Yes you are correct. I went too fast.
The 2 that you say is from the date, can well be a Tironian logogram Z.
In the next link you can find information

The weight and diameter looks more like '1 kreuzer'

I thought I would finally get to use the Austrian coin book I bought several years ago, but I found that it only covers 1740-1969!
