My research on this token is showing mixed results. Some claim it is a fantasy issue (mainly because of the spelling of the word "kantinegeld". Others are stating that there are zinc counterfits but that the brass ones are legitimate issues. Just wondering if anyone on numista has any insights. One of the things that puzzles me is the surface striations, usually from metal flow during striking, however I have mostly seen this from medals struck in the 1970's. You can see the striations most clearly on the 50 reichspfennig side.
