Hello, I recently purchased this very cheaply as part of a deal, but I know nothing about it and the inscription is not very visible. Do you recognise that cross? Thank you so much!
You are correct about the second coin, it is a medieval Hungarian denar. I'm not sure if it's a genuine coin that has been harshly cleaned using chemicals or a contemporary fake. A real denar should be silver, forgers at the time made crude imitations from silver plated copper.
As for the first coin I don't know what it is but I'm not so sure it's crusader. It could just as easily be from the rest of Europe, especially Italian states.
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.
