Coin or token? (scalloped rim, 12 notches, obverse: L 10c K, bronze)

My guess is that it is a trade token from 1920s or 1930s (judging by the material, size etc.), most probably North American. I tried to look up various sites of token collectors, but was unable to find anything similar.
