Gupta empire, silver drachm of Kumaragupta I, 415-455 AD
Your good photos helped a lot.
Please compare to the first three silver coins, Western type listed at
http://coinindia.com/galleries-kumaragupta.html
I think the writing matches. Weights of this type of drachma vary from 1.8-2.2 grams.
The bust on one side is mostly off the flan, but the lips and earlobe are visible.
One of the examples at the website listed has a square earlobe like your coin, though the reverse differs slightly.
For others the reverse matches but the earlobe is rounded.
So there is not an exact match for your coin shown on this website, but I think your coins falls well within the range of both weight and appearance for Kamaragupta I silver drachms. The silver coins of other Gupta rulers don't match.
