What does the stamp mean
Teaching a kid how to count? :O
There are so many possibilities why someone would do that that you'll probably never know for sure. It could be someone who tried his new punches on a coin. The style of the "2" suggests to me that it is late 1600s or anytime in the 1700s. It could also be a coin turned into a token or tally or check of some sort.
