Please be real. Pretty pretty please. This is my most expensive coin to date.

Looks good to me, nice coin!
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.
Цитата: "Camerinvs"At first sight it looks authentic, but pictures outside the holder would be necessary.
Does the rim crack at the O of COS look like it was from the impact of a strike or does it look like it's from a cast?
I have absolutely no experience with Roman coins. Or pretty much hammered coins for that matter. So I can’t tell if that’s a casting or strike crack. But from what I can tell by 5 minutes of internet sleuthing, I think it’s a strike crack. But don’t take my word for it. I might just be seeing what I want to see.
(Photographing it under a yellow light makes it look almost golden. Now I dream of getting an aureus...)

It looks good to me. What helps, too, is to check whether the seller has a good reputation in the field of ancient coins. I am very hesitant to buy any ancient coins online except if I can trust the seller.
If the coin is cast, you can usually see the surface isn't right. Also, if the cast is re-used, you'll find the same coin with the exact same cracks and "off-centeredness" on all of them, which is a sure way to know your coin is fake (unless it is the original used to make the cast!). Recently a Numista member messaged me about a Roman coin and I was able to find online another with exactly the same features (same cracks + off-center in exactly the same way). This was proof that his coin was a fake.
