Sheldon grades please!

A little guessing game as I'm not sure. Ignore the white spots on the cent, got something on my lens protector or something.

I'm guessing around AU55-MS62 for both, but unsure.

Beautiful coins. I don't like to grade by photos but here is what I see. The Indian head penny I would grade a AU 50 overall, the hair beneath Liberty is just not detailed enough to warrant a higher grade for example. The Liberty nickel has full luster and wonderful details. MS 62? Even higher if not for the detracting scratches around the V on the reverse. If you would like to part with them, I know somebody who would REALLY enjoy them.:°

That V nickel is going to get body bagged.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Lol, I had to think about that for a second but yes, certainly deserving.
I suspect it'd grade clean myself; the hairlines are just super visible due to the massive magnification and loads get away with those sort of minor hairlines but just get knocked down from like a 65 or 64 to 62/61.

Love the bodybagged term though lol, it's so apt.
In more sensible times grading companies used to return coins which were not suitable for grading in little plastic bags, hence the body bagged expression. Now they quite happily slab them with a "details" grade which is just ambiguous enough to allow unethical sellers to pass them off as problem free to the new or young collector.
