Australia Penny- Real or Fake? [решено]

Hello, I just received this coin from Ebay for £2 and I am very surprised by how pretty and shiny it is. It has so much of this generic shine Im thinking it could be fake-especially considering examples this shiny should be worth a lot more than £2. Is it fake?

Any help greatly appreciated :)

overcleaned?

certainly polished to death
a penny with that age should have a patina (at least) like this (or better):

a polished coin like yours has no value for a collector.
You can restore some patina:
- cleane it with nail polish to remove all greasy remenants.
- hard boil an egg, scramble it in a plastic bag.
- try to put the coin on his side in that bag, without it touching the egg.
- The sulphur in the egg will create a patina
(it works very well with silver, perhaps also for bronze
