Hello,

I would really appreciate if someone Could identified this coin for me.

Diameter 14-15mm
weight 3.45 grams

Also would it be advisable to try and remove the verdigris spot?
Yes, China, a cash coin of Emperor Kao Tsung, also known as Ch'ien Lung, 1736-1795, mint Boo Je (Chekiang), coin number S1470.

It's pictured about halfway down the page at

While of course interesting historically, this coin is very common and low value (one or two dollars) in this condition, so I don't think it's worth worrying about the verdigris.
It's in the Numista database
Boo Je is not the most common mint, it's an interesting coin.
Verdigris is destroying your coin and I'ts (relatively) easy and cheap to remove verdigris without destroying a copper coin.
I'd recommend you read experiences of (the master) Fluke on this subject, there are some other awesome threads about about his successes in the forum. :8D

Thank you both very much for you answers, they are very helpful.

I was actually able to remove the majority of the verdigris by just rubbing it with my finger which also had no negative impact on the coin design.

I have read Fluke's method of removing verdigris before but have personally never been game enough to experiment with that method.
