Counterfeit UK shilling?

I got this shilling together with a great many other old coins for very little money, but something seems very wrong about it.
The photos I have made are not good . Everything seems wrong , the size is 23.75 mm, thickness 1.5, weight below normal ( I have not yet got an accurate weight) the colour of the head seems to be copper., the rim brass. Strange rifts that does not cut through the lettering.
I know that there is a Florin that was conterfeit, but surely this must also be a fake? I am sorry that I am not able to make a better foto. I have not cleaned this coin! it looks like it has had a treatment of wire wool, takeing care of not touching the lettering? Hope to hear what you think about it. It would be interesting if it was a fake! Thank you

My opinion ? it's not counterfeit, but simply .500 silver harshly polished.
Got lots look same, so I wouldn't worry

​Hi! You are probably right, but the colour is strange. I know there was a counterfei florin about the same time. Counterfeit for use not because it was rare.
The normal coin has a diameter of 23.5 mm, this one is 23.8 and not worn round the edge.

I would say it's much more likely that your caliper needs calibration!

​I have checked the calipers. The diameter is 23.75 mm (should be 23.5). It is a very poor coin, have had some horrible cleaning?
