Hello,

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Wanted to share this three pence that I came across while recently going through some unsorted world stuff (deep clean while we're getting through the COVID situation). I'm leaning towards some damage that happened after the coin left the mint but I was curious what your take is? Would you mind sharing what you're looking for?

Thanks for taking a peek!

That's a pretty interesting specimen, I think it could possibly be pre mint damage but I don't have much experience in that but I don't really know how that would happen.

Thanks for looking and for your thoughts!

I’m on the fence with error, figured it could maybe be some form of a lamination error that was exacerbated by circulation wear. To my eye it looks more like a “popped bubble” that has since been folded as opposed to a gouge in the field. That could also be wishful thinking!

I’m far from an expert and figured I’d let some of the pros who wonder these forums chime in!

Thanks again!
