Dears,
someone help me to identify this coin?
I think is from Gujiarat, 1 1/2 falus may be, but I'm not an expert about ancient coin.
It's similar to this one, what do you think about?
https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=131752
It's around 16,5 x 17,5 mm and 14,2 g
Thank you in advance for any help.

It is in the style of the Sultans of Gujarat, and the weight and diameter are correct for a one-and-a-half falus. So I think you are in the ballpark. However, searching Zeno I'm afraid I couldn't find a match, and I don't think the cited coin is a match.

I believe that the first photo should be rotated about 120 degrees counterclockwise, and the second photo should be rotated about 90 degrees counterclockwise.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about these coins will be able to help with identification.

Hi Andrea. Looks like it is. The site below might help you identify the ruler who issued it.

Second photo is correctly oriented now. First photo should be turned 180 degrees (was rotated 90 deg. clockwise from original, should be rotated 90 deg. counterclockwise from original). As a rule of thumb, the bottoms of the "w" shapes should be downward.

Yes, the photos are correctly oriented now. I took another look through Zeno and G&G but unfortunately haven't found a match for your coin. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on these coins will chime in. One option to consider would be to post this on the unidentified coins board of worldofcoins.eu. They have some very knowledgeable Indian collectors.

I asked to be registered right now. I also have another old Indian coin that I have not been able to classify in Numista and even with Zeno: I will try with both.
Thanks a lot for your suggest.

Dear Seeker55, thanks to your suggest, now I can confirm that this coin is from Sultanate of Gujarat, 1 1/2 falus ref. Goron & Goenka G378
According to G&G, the full legends of the coin are :
- obverse: al Sultan abu'l fadl qutb al-dunya wa'l din ال سلطان ابوالفظل قطب الدنیا والدین "
- reverse: Bahadur Shah bin Muzaffar Shah al-Sultan"
A single date is known : 934 AH (1527/8 not visible in this coin)
Bahadur Shah was the son of Muzaffar Shah II and reigned between 1526 and 1535 and then again between 1536 and 1537.
Thank you again
Best regards
Andrea
