The coins for Lithuania and Poland for 1563 look very similar to me in Numista, or are they the same? What distinguishes this coin from being from either Poland or Lithuania? Many thanks, Tom

Apart from generally there is a slightly different eagle, and horseman.
I think yours is more like the Poland coin.

Цитата: "gdrsb"C'mon, both are the Lithuanian coins. The are no Polish half-groats of Sigismund August at all!!! Lithuanian groat of Sigismund August had a 20% higher value than the Polish groat of the same ruler. F.e. two groats of 1546 of the same ruler , Lithuanian https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/zygmunt-ii-august-grosz-litewski-1546-piekny-stan-i8303590455.htmlI should have mentioned the weight is 1.15 grams. Diameter 1.9 cm. So are you saying the Numista listing for Polish half groats is an error?
and Polish https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/grosz-litewski-na-stope-polska-1546-zygmunt-august-i7586879068.html ; Polish coin is smaller, and have less silver simply.
