I'm having difficulty getting a good picture. It's 14mm small, looks like pure copper. Perhaps it's not a coin. any ideas?
Hello there. You've got a Byzantine coin. On one side you can see a large rounded E or Epsilon in Greek, the fifth letter of the alphabet which shows that the coin is a five nummia or Pentenummia. the small letter in front of it is a Gamma, which shows it is from the third workshop.
The other side of the coin shows a monogram, which, as far as I can see, is of Justin II, - but take a look for yourself:-

I'm not sure which mint it is from. You would need an expert for that :)
Little coin - loads of history.
All the best,
James
Thank you so much, James! I've a bit of research yet to do, but at least you've given me a great starting point. So, you've given me a boost of interest in coin collecting(8 Cheers mate
