3 hard to id Romans

4 сообщений • просмотрено 92 раз
Any help is appreciated in attributing these 3 coins.
Notes:
- #1 is the harder to see any details. The first photo looks somewhat similar to the first of #3. I don't even see the orientation of the other side in the picture.
- #3 I seem to be able to read "ONSTANT" so I presume is Constantin.

1 - Diameter 15mm, weight 1.7gr

2 - Diameter 17.4mm (large side)/16.3mm (short side), weight 1.8gr

3 - Diameter 18mm, weight 2.7gr

Thanks in advance for stopping to look :-)

Have a nice day Alex, and also to other collectors.

I think you're right, it is the Constantine era. Everything you know is that they are definitely Roman coins, two certainly Constantine ,metal is bronze.
A pair of soldiers is still known and holds a military standard/ two and one /. Also a soldier with a slave?-That can be traced.

This state of the coins, due to metal and time and also a large number of them is very common. The value is only historical and deserves canning and storage for future generations under the name "Ancient Rome".
This is my opinion, I do the ones that I don't usually include I give them to friends as a souvenir .

have a nice day Ivan.
Thanks Ivan,
I knew it would be hard to id them and I only paid 1$ each with the main goal of having an idea of what they were and giving them away, among others, to the guy who introduced me to Numista :-)

Hi have a nice day.
You evaluated it correctly , however, I would not lose hope of saving the second coin in a row.
In my opinion, everything can be found out, there is the potential to read the name of the mint. In this case, the quality and gentle cleaning from corrosion and deposits is exceptional -to identify and historically preserve ancestral heritage.
The second coin is and I state this quite exceptionally from an archaeological point of view it can be saved -and identified place of minting and its entire history.
when cleaned and properly preserved, it will make you happy even if it has the label "cleaned"
And don't make illusions -those fools who claim that the coins are not cleaned, those fools who claim that the coins are not cleaned.
Save her! The reward will be that you get to the numismatic sky!

Ahoj Ivan
